The Fox & Firkin revives its legendary Fox Fest from back in the day. Our SE London local pub, urban tropical beer garden and independent music venue, celebrates 10 days of cultural activities to celebrate the creativity of London and welcome in summer, with cutting edge jazz, late night club sessions, daytime garden takeovers, and a whole lot more.
We commence our festival with our favorite jazz and broken beat night - SKETCHES. Bringing international duo Nikitch & Kuna Maze, label boss Rebecca Vasmant, and IG Culture's Selectors Assemble, featuring the man himself and a hand picked roast of selectors.
Acid Jazz’ radio station streaming from our garden with their excellent jazz show presented by local lad Mr Alan McKinnon. Expect vinyl only selections, dancing and sunny climes.
London finest all female DJ crew and We Out Here Festival sensations bring their funky party vibes to the Fox urban oasis garden for a free alldayer, London style.
Saturday's headline Afriquoi! Main stage festival favourites, bringing their uplifting fusion of African music combing Congolese guitar + Gambian kora virtuosity and live electronics for a full-on afro party dance vibe. In addition we are very excited about hot new nu-soul act Magi Merlin flying in from the states for her first London show.
Absolutely one of The Fox's trade marks, beloved nights, running on our venue for 10 years, Deptford Dub Club had to be part of our festival, and how could it be better than with their own Mini-Festival! All day, multimedia, reggae festival, will be indoors and out in the fabulous, extensive garden, switching inside for the evening with music of Jamaican origin. Ska, through Rocksteady to classic Roots and beyond with special guests Ras Kayleb and Neville King.
Recently relaunched by our quiz Mistress, Emma, we bring a homy pub quiz to revive the history of London, Lewisham and our beautiful South East London! Top prize is a year free-pass for 2 people to all our inhouse events.

To close our Firkin Express Launch Party, we have invited Mama Sutra! London based sextet that has rapidly evolved from a nightclub dance band to a Jazz club and music festival favourite.
Our bi-monthly Thursday evening with the talented musicians (and students) of Trinity Laban Conservatoire. You never know what's gonna be, if jazz, funk, latin, soul or amazing songwriters! But one thing is sure, this young musicians bring amazing vibes and music!

How could we not invite two of our favourite promoters to bring it to The Fox? But even better, they bring a collaborative promotion, daytime party, already nearly sold out show! Movimientos & Woodburner present Chancha Via Circuito x El Buho, a daytime tropical-rave with two titans of Latin America's electronic scene.
And of course, for our last Saturday of the Fox Fest, our latin music inhouse promotion Tropical Rockers brings down a huge celebration of all things afro latino culture with live acts Pollito Boogaloo and Mul-Kala! Plus selection roester bringing international figure Eck Echo from Pru to Berlin to London Lewisham, and resident Djs Russ Jones and Cal Jader! Bring your dancing shoes.
